This is Beatty talking about how if one is distracted with sports, and spirit and everything that comes along with sports its easier to not question why the society has gotten as bad as it has when he is at Montags. 7. This is Beatty talking about how the society takes everyone and makes them equal, but while making everyone the same it takes away all the chance for individuality or progress. Its forever the same dull people doing the same dull things. 8. This is Beatty talking about how in order to protect the society and strengthen it they want to please the masses so that they have no reason to revolt. If they feel that they get what they want then they are less likely to question the society. 9. This is talking about the natural curiosity of humans and how the society has given curiosity a negative connotation. They have decided that when a person is curisious it is a defect. He is going to let Montag read the books to get over his curiosity, but then he must burn them. 10. This is Montag talking about starting the book over and re reading from the beginning if they don’t understand. Its like a fresh start, to re examine things so that they can develop a better understanding,
